Ki ngā whānau katoa o Te Nehenehenui
Ki ngā rangatira, ki ngā hapū, ki ngā tāne, ki ngā wahine me ngā tamariki!

We are please to advise that our team are returning to Whakatū (Nelson) to deliver our engagement hui.

Wenerei, 16 o Noema 2022   |   6:00pm – 9:00pm
Tides Hotel (formally Trailways Hotel)  –  66 Trafalgar Street Nelson 7010

As you may remember, a few months ago our team travelled the motu to host hui and engage with our whanaunga from Te Nehenehenui.

Unfortunately for our whānau in Whakatū, a state of emergency was declared for the Nelson region after the Maitai river in Nelson East breached its banks. Our priority is always to consider the health and well-being of our people, therefore the hui was cancelled and our kaimahi were evacuated from the region.

This hui will provide an opportunity for our whānau in Whakatū to provide input towards our collective aspirations moving forward. During the hui, we will outline the Trust structure, our priorities and timeframes, as well as look to provide more information about the coming election process for Te Nehenehenui Trustees.

Iwi consultation and hui has been critical in shaping the path we have taken so far along our haerenga.

With our sights firmly set on the next five years and beyond, we look forward to hearing from you – our whānau – as we chart our path for the future.
