
Te Nehenehenui is seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Te Pukeiti Early Childhood Centre (TPECC). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and wellbeing of tamariki, whānau, and kaimahi in a culturally rich and nurturing environment.
About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you will:
- Ensure smooth and professional running of TPECC, maintaining high standards in administration, compliance, health & safety, and whānau engagement.
- Champion te reo Māori, Maniapoto mita, and tikanga Māori in all aspects of the centre.
- Lead strategic planning aligned with Te Kawau Rukuroa – Te Nehenehenui 2050 Strategy.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and facilities to create a safe and welcoming learning space.
- Build strong relationships with whānau, iwi, community partners, and funders.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in leadership or operations (ECE or education preferred)
- Strong understanding of compliance, funding, and health & safety
- Fluency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A tertiary qualification and full driver’s licence

- Excellent communication and writing skills.

- High attention to detail and time management.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
- Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
