Te Nehenehenui is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashleigh Turner (Ngāti Maniapoto, Waikato, Ngāti Awa) as General Manager (GM) of Waihikurangi, the Charitable Arm of Te Nehenehenui.
Group CE, Samuel Mikaere welcomes the skills and knowledge that Ashleigh will bring to the position.
“With over 15 years’ experience across iwi, government, and private sectors, we are excited to have Ashleigh join us at such a critical establishment phase for Waihikurangi. She will be a great asset to Te Nehenehenui.”
Raised in Ōtorohanga and Hangatiki, and actively involved with her marae (Te Kauae), Ashleigh is passionate about social investment, community, and Māori outcomes.

This is an opportunity that I don’t take lightly but one that I’m ready for and will be guided by our mātāpono; Aroha, Ture, Whakapono. Ashleigh’s appointment will take effect as of 8 February 2023.
