Ki ngā whare, ki ngā marae, kia ora katoa!
As you will recall, we have received an application for Te Awhitu Whānau Maria Marae (6053 State Highway 4, RD 6, Taumarunui) to be added as a registered marae to Te Nehenehenui, joining Te Whare ki Tuhua Hikurangi.
With the confirmed support from Te Rōpū Kaumātua, the next steps are for our whānau (Adult Registered Members) to sign the petition.
To date we have received approximately 25% of the required 350 signatures.
The marae needs at least 350 adult registered members to sign the petition for the marae to join, as outlined in the Trust Deed (Eighth schedule).
