We would like to acknowledge our partners KiwiRail, who provided a special chartered train, to transport more than 180 of our people from Tāmaki Makaurau, Kirikiriroa, Te Kūiti and Taumarunui, along Te Ara o Tūrongo (the Maniapoto Railway line)
The carriages were filled with the sounds of our mokopuna laughing, singing of our tribal anthems and sharing memories
A big mihi to the Iwi and Marae who opened their arms to embrace our people during this momentous occasion! Once again, we acknowledge our Settlement Negotiators, Historians and whānau, for their commitment to our people!
