The Kawenata Awards are a prestigious biannual event that celebrates contribution and achievement across all sectors of Te Nehenehenui.
It is also the symbolic flagship of the 1904 Kawenata o Ngāti Maniapoto me ōna hapū maha, inaugurated at the Māhoenui residence of Te Rangituataka Tākerei on Friday, 1st January 1904.
The biannual Kawenata Awards will be held on 28 November 2025, at 6 pm at the Atrium Convention Centre, Wintec, Hamilton campus.
How to purchase your Kawenata Awards 2025 tickets
Tickets can be purchased via the Te Nehenehenui Website.
Tickets cost $50 per person.

There are only 200 tickets available to purchase. You need to submit a form and make a payment by 4pm on 26th November 2025 to secure your tickets.
The Kawenata Awards dinner and awards ceremony is an alcohol-free event, and formal dress is required to enter the event.
