Now that we have returned to the tari from our raumati break, we’re looking forward to continuing our mahi to bring our strategy, Te Kawau Rukuroa, to life.

Are you passionate about community wellbeing? Are you ready to learn in a supportive, culturally grounded environment?
Te Nehenehenui are pleased to be collaborating with Wintec, to connect our whānau with opportunities in the health education industry – Te Huinga o Te Tangata: Manawhenua Academic Health pathway programme
Beginning in February 2025, the 6-month Marae and campus-based bridging programme is developed to prepare our whānau for pathways into the following Health Degree programmes:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
Bachelor of Midwifery
Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Bachelor of Nursing
Bachelor of Sports & Exercise Science
This opportunity will suit our whānau aged 16-40 with no prior health experience, but are aspiring to become Health Professionals. Wintec have tailored guidance for our whānau, supporting your academic success!
The marae-based approach to learning offers a rich cultural experience, allowing tauira to engage with Māori customs, traditions, and knowledge. By integrating traditional practices and teachings into the curriculum, this programme aims to provide a holistic and inclusive educational experience.
Key course content includes:
Te Ara Ākonga – Foundational study skills
Whēako Akoranga – Academic Development
Hauora – Human Development
Kaupapa Tūāpapa – Foundational Health
