Waihikurangi Trust is focused on the social services, community, and cultural aspirations of our people.

He Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
As the General Manager Waihikurangi Trust, you will work closely with the Independent Chair and Waihikurangi trustees and report through to the Group CEO. You will be a well-respected leader in te ao Māori, able to influence the environment in which the Trust operates and provide strategic direction and leadership to whānau, hapū and iwi to enhance the financial sustainability of the Trust.
You will seek out and grow additional revenue streams and build the economic and social base of Te Nehenehenui for the people and the whenua.
As the General Manager and part of the Te Nehenehenui leadership team, you will engage with the team, trustees and whānau on the five-year plan as you work to define goals and how the Trust should move towards them.

You will be a hands-on leader who has a strong reputation for building and establishing teams and work programmes. Your ability to maintain positive and mutually rewarding relationships with whānau and stakeholders will see you thrive. Your communication and cultural competence will be a strength and include comfort in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
